Eastside Infrastructure Improvement Meeting
At the last City Council meeting CEO Tom Hatch announced
significant infrastructure improvements scheduled for most of the
streets in the Eastside of town. As you can see from the text of a
recent notification, these much-needed improvements will use over $6
million in Gas Tax and Measure "M" funds.
PUBLIC HEARING/INFORMATIONAL MEETING WEDNESDAY
Those of my Eastside neighbors interested in this project are encouraged
to attend the public meeting to be held next Wednesday at Kaiser
Elementary School. I've included a map to Kaiser Elementary School for
you. At the bottom of the page I've also included an image of proposed
improvements, including a key to show the type of improvement in each
area, for your viewing pleasure. Click on the images to make
them larger. The text of the announcement follows:
CITY ANNOUNCEMENT

The work also includes removal of existing asphalt sidewalks and driveways and replacing them with concrete sidewalks and driveways. The construction cost is estimated at $6,305,000. The project is funded entirely from Gas Tax and Measure "M" revenues.

Thank you for posting this otherwise I would not have known about this meeting. We live between your house and Kaiser and this is the first that I heard of this information. How will the rest of the neighbors find out? Will there be signs posted or notices anywhere? I appreciate your sharing this and all of your updates.
You're welcome. I hope the Daily Pilot and the Register will have notifications in them before Wednesday. This is a huge project that will very positively impact most of us living on the Eastside.
Jim Fitzpatrick is getting the word out to a lot of people. Thanks Jim.
Well done staff on securing the grants, and measure M money. Let us see who takes the credit for the improvements.
Save costa mesa, save the streets, with other peoples money we dare compete. The lawyers are rich we can't dig a ditch, Vegas is near, With Biff and Riggy spending is no fear. We may be broke as a pig in a poke But have no regrets, The dasturdly duo have made big bets. They 've done it before for Sun-cal and more. Much like a colombian bore. It's other peoples money have no fear the council won't notice they're hardly here.
Remember when Righeimer stated on CNBC how the city has no money to even slurry seal a street? Well look at this, the city does have money like it always had to repair and fix streets. I would of loved to have been on that show with Righeimer and bring forth the past and current CIP budgets that shows all the street projects, including slurry seal, that are and have been fully funded. I am still amazed there are people that support this lying scumbag and his three buds on the council.
improver,
Your boy, JimmyFitzy, sent out a message on this project with the wrong date on it! He finally got it corrected, but only after some of his neighbors had planned to make the meeting a week too early. Yeah, he's doing a "great" job alright.
Me sorry abut meeting date. Stopp sayin baad tings abutt me Geff. Me call Riggy, get instrukshun, do better.
-Jimmy F.
Hey improver, wipe your nose.
Fitzpatrick first notice contained a warning on not being firm on the date and blatantly said notice of correct time would be forthcoming. It came. Thanks Fitzpatrick.
