Parks & Rec. Commission Agenda

IN CASE I FORGOT...
Before we get ourselves too far into this week I wanted to be sure to mention the next Costa Mesa Parks and Recreation Commission meeting scheduled for Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in City Council Chambers at City Hall.  The agenda for this very short meeting is HERE.

ELECTING NEW OFFICERS
I say "short meeting" because there's not much on the agenda.  First thing off the bat will be the election of a new Chairman and Vice Chairman following the procedures listed HERE.

CONSENT CALENDAR
Once that's done they will tackle the Consent Calendar, which has only the minutes of the January meeting and a request for a donation of a tree and plaque in memory of long time Costa Mesa resident, Rick Baker, HERE.

APPOINTING NEW COMMITTEE LIAISONS
After that there is only one item on the agenda, the appointment of commission liaisons to two committees, the City/Newport Mesa Unified School District Committee and the currently-dormant Fairview Park Citizen's Advisory Committee.  Neither of those should take much time.

STAFF AND COMMISSIONER REPORTS
At the end there will be the Maintenance Manager's Report, the Recreation Manager's Report and Commissioner Comments.  Unless somebody gets long-winded, it's possible the biggest chunk of time will be spent juggling the chairs on the dais after election of new officers.

THANKS TO KIM AND BRETT
So, thanks to the old officers, Chairman Kim Pederson and Vice Chair Brett Eckles for their leadership over the last year.  And off we go... we could be out of there by 6:30!... or not.
