CMPD/OC Probation Sweep Results

COLLABORATIVE EFFORT YIELDS RESULTS
Yesterday, Monday, June 17th, from 2:00 - 10:00 p.m., the Costa Mesa Police Department and the Orange County Probation Department conducted a joint probation compliance sweep at numerous locations throughout the city as part of the city's zero tolerance program against probationers who violate terms of their probation.

SEVEN INDIVIDUALS ARRESTED
Here's a summary of the arrests made last night: (click on list to enlarge)

AB 109 REALIGNMENT
According to the press release issued this morning, officers from both agencies participated in a collaborative effort performing compliance checks on probationers assigned to the Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) program as part of State Assembly Bill 109 (state prison realignment).

GOOD JOB!
Kudos to the CMPD and the Orange County Probation Department for snatching up those miscreants before they could commit further crimes in our community.

U can't fire me, I quit....The funny/interesting thing about Chief Staveley was that he was very supportive of the council and Hatch's efforts on everything they were doing up until the very end. Although I haven't talked with the Chief about it, the staffing issue seems to be the straw that broke the camels back. Spending $39,000 taxpayer dollars to a consulting firm only to ignore the recommendations and instead use a staffing formula they saw on the back of some other report for another OC city is ludicrously insane and stupid. It only makes sense the Chief did what he thought was best for the citizens of Costa Mesa and risked his reputation and employment with Jones and Mayer to expose these guys for what they truly are.

Wyatt talking about Staveley:

"..risked his reputation and employment with Jones and Mayer to expose these guys for what they truly are."

Yes, that's what ethical people do. Thugs bully and lie.

It's sad that staffing is such that it takes a press release and a special project day to net 7 bodies. Proactive policing such as this used to happen daily. Especially with regard to motel checks. It wasn't a special project, it was just Tuesday...or Wednesday (you get the point). Proactive policing makes a difference. To the dork that keeps pointing out Chief Stavely (you can't fire me...), he made it clear to Hatch and council; staffing all depends on what level of service you want and what type of policing you want done. Reactionary vs. proactive.

Guy is correct in talking about Stavely and dork . good analogy. his reputation among unions and democrats was high, it is now higher. he is a true democrat who landed here and found himself against an OCGOP council and did what needed to be done: bolted.

Replace within and hour.....If Staveley had such a high reputation among unions and Democrats, how was he employed by the OCGOP friendly Jones and Mayer? And if he had such a reputation as you claim, why did the OCGOP backed and controlled Costa Mesa Council majority hire Staveley in the first place?

Actually, guys, they hired Staveley TWICE! He was our interim chief following Hensley and following Shawkey. Did a great job keeping things together both times.

Who would you entrust with the police protection of your family-

Riggy, Mensy, Scott Baugh, Grover Norquist, or Steve Staveley?

I thought so.

Dear Bottom line and others. Yes we all take our marching orders from Grover Norquist.

In our secret handshake meetings we talk about him all the time.

Now that you outed us, we are trying to understand your position. Maybe we are not putting the tin foil on our heads the right way. Can you please give proper instructions to receive your wave length?

Oh, what time does Judge Wapner come on? How many minutes to Wapner. Don't want to miss that either.

PS How do we get cops in this town to say thank you? One boat at the river? More? What do we have to do to make these guys happy?

PPS Dear Chief of Police. You have a mole like the NSA in Wyatt Earp. He is one of yours and is spilling all kinds of beans. Please investigate

Troll A:

"Dear Bottom line and others. Yes we all take our marching orders from Grover Norquist."

We know. That's why Mensy, The Dwarf, and Colon publicly admitted signing the pledge.

Troll B:

"mensinger over stavely 4 sure!"

But didn't you hear- Mensy's badge is fake and he only shoots unarmed wildlife.

Grover says what said....Yes, investigate. Please investigate me for exercising my first amendment rights. And people wonder why my fellow Republicans are losing so often at the polls.

Bottom Line: he may try to shoot unarmed wildlife, but after the memorial shoot out, its apparent that the only safe place is in front of Mensinger's gun. He was dead last, even behind Riggy.

Thug and the rest,

The city won't be paying Stavely a dime. He collects from PERS not city. He was vested in his retirement years before he came to CM. the interim position was non PERSable.

I'm not a fan of this council by any stretch. But I do want to say the comments about them attending the memorial shoot are off base. Whatever their motives were for being there, they paid, they played and it went to a good cause. Stop being petty.
