Brenda Green Hired As City Clerk

In a press release today the City of Costa Mesa announced that Interim City Clerk Brenda Green has been hired as City Clerk. You can read the information HERE.
GOOD JOB IN TOUGH CIRCUMSTANCES
This is a good move for the City. Green has done a good job in the wake of the abrupt and controversial departure of popular former City Clerk Julie Folcik - a casualty of ham-handed management by members of the City Council and staff as they attempted to jam Jim Righeimer's Charter down the voters throats last spring.

"Casualty" Seriously??? Julie Folcik is lucky she did not end up in jail or in a lawsuit with the City. She purposely and directly violated the City Manager's direction to file paperwork to allow the people to vote in an election. The worst offense possible for a City Clerk. Good riddance.
Note, Brenda is making less that Folcik did and is actually competent at her job. Tom Hatch's hires have been terrific. Congrats to Brenda. She is great.
As usual, you yap without knowledge. Be assured that if Folcik HAD committed a criminal act she would have been prosecuted. Since she wasn't and she disappeared quietly one can assume there was MUCH more to this situation than was disclosed publically. Now, if you actually have facts - remember those inconvenient things? - please enlighten us, keeping in mind the laws that govern libel and slander, schmuck!

Mesa Mustang- To qoute one of my favorite songs--"all you do is talk talk". The only thing she did was save this City from the power grab by one traveling low-level politician. If there was anything criminal done don't you think we would have heard about it, nice try though.
It wasn't criminal necessarily, it was dereliction of job duty, for sure.

i didn't see genis in the photo and you tagged it as such. it looked like the same person who swore in Mayor pro tem Mensinger. that is why i brought it up. if the picture showed genis or wasn't tagged with genis name then i would have passed. but you know how it is. how the minions bring up everything the boyz do. this fits into that realm.
I cropped Genis out to make it a better photo of Brenda. I also have shots of her swearing in Gary, but he's way down, almost out of the shot. ;-) Didn't get a good shot of her swearing in Mensinger - actually, closed my eyes and hoped it wouldn't happen.

Brenda use to work for a retired City Manager who was a "contracted cronie" who worked on the possible take over of OCFA of the CMFD, who use to be Hatch's boss.
Nothing against her personally, but was she really the "best qualified"? Hmmmmmm
