Costa Mesa Current Projects

THE QUEST FOR INFORMATION
As time permits and the mood strikes me I will occasionally bounce around the new Costa Mesa City Website just to see what enhancements are available to those of us frequently searching for data.

CURRENT PROJECTS
Today my search took me to the Current Projects page, HERE.  This is a terrific site with an easy-to-use map and explanations of ALL of the projects currently being undertaken in our city.  Take a couple minutes to click on that link, then navigate around to see what's happening in your neighborhood.

MORE TO COME
From time to time I'll give you links to other interesting elements of the new website.  It's not perfect yet, but does provide us with some useful information that's easy to access.

I don't know what the project is, but that's Bever territory.

Follow the link I gave you to the page which has the actual map. Click on that marker and you'll find that it's a project for traffic signal coordination.

Either way, kudos to the city for building this. We taxpayers have a right to know where projects are going.

Since most of these threads should eventually reference Mayor Pro Tem Jim Righeimer, I was reading about the following, and I wonder if he's been diagnosed yet. Thoughts?

The only unbelievable comment in this particular thread is yours. If you find what you read her to be so onerous please stop reading. We certainly don't want your fragile sensibilities damaged.

i can't stop reading, I am hooked! And I am not fragile just noticing comments about "diagnosing" Righeimer were the type of "twinkie" things I thought you were going to filter. why would someone even take the time to write that? what does it add?

If you remove the dots that are paid for by grants or Other peoples money and subtrac the savings due to loss of employees.

Where has all the money gone, revenues are up, property values are up and people are shopping.

Opps sorry, attorney fees. a cost of running the city like a buisness.
No on the M's, the carpet bagger and the semi aquatic rodent

Don’t let math get in the way of your thinking. None of the Council Haters realize that a little legal investment will in the end result in large tax payer savings. Let’s just say I accept the angry math of $2 million.

To spend that to save $50 million over 10 years, easily, like Newport Beach is doing and will do, is a simple and easy decision to invest. “They” talk of the spend but never the savings.

Sorry to the status quo crowd. Change is happening, happening now. City Hall is no longer a jobs program.

We understand change is hard, but change is here and will continue.

As one practicing in the field, we can't/don't diagnose anyone without extensive examinations and testing. But if I was guessing based on experience?

Does any of this sound familiar?

Reacting to criticism with anger, shame, or humiliation
Taking advantage of others to reach their own goals
Exaggerating their own importance, achievements, and talents
Imagining unrealistic fantasies of success, beauty, power, intelligence, or romance
Requiring constant attention and positive reinforcement from others
Becoming jealous easily
Lacking empathy and disregarding the feelings of others
Being obsessed with oneself
Pursuing mainly selfish goals
Trouble keeping healthy relationships
Becoming easily hurt and rejected
Setting goals that are unrealistic
Wanting "the best" of everything
Appearing unemotional

Shrink Think has described Geoff West. Seriously, read it with West in mind. It fits.

When he stands to take pictures, Bingo.

This explains his blog. This explains his attacks, his anger and his general grumpy demeanor.

Hello Sad but True. Shrink Think was not describing Geoff West at all you silly goose! This definition fits the un-fab four and their bff Jim Fitzpatrick perfectly. It's okay dude, we know your side is a little slow...
