Local Election Results as of 11/16/16

REGISTRAR OF VOTERS MADE STEADY PROGRESS TODAY
The Orange County Registrar of Voters released the latest tallies in the November 8th election.  There remain 162,778 votes left to count in Orange County.  Review all Orange County races HERE.

COSTA MESA CITY COUNCIL
Sandy Genis continues to lead John Stephens by 161 votes.  Stephens leads Allan Mansoor by 2,089.  Mansoor continues to hold a 467 vote lead over Mayor Steve Mensinger for the third seat.  Jay Humphrey trails Mensinger by 210 votes.  Lee Ramos and Al Melone trail the field.
COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT
Incumbents Jim Ferryman and Art Perry continue to hold large leads on the challengers.  Perry holds a 4,369 lead over Gary Monahan for the second seat.  Jim Fitzpatrick continues to drop, as does Christopher Luntsford.
MESA WATER DISTRICT
Incumbent Jim Fisler's lead over challenger Alex Reich is 1,418 votes.
GROWTH MEASURES
The resident-generated initiative, Measure Y, continues to pass by a huge margin.  Measure Z, the city-generated measure designed to confuse voters, is passing, but by a much smaller margin.
FAIRVIEW PARK ISSUES
The citizen-generated measure, AA,  is passing with an overwhelming margin.  The city-generated measure, BB, designed to confuse voters, is failing.
MEDICAL MARIJUANA ISSUES
Both citizen-generated medical marijuana issues - V and W - are failing badly.  City-generated measure X is passing by a nearly 3,000 vote margin.
VOTING BY DISTRICTS
Jim Righeimer's measure, EE - which hijacked the process and included a directly-elected mayor, is passing handily.  Looks like he finally fooled the voters.
MESA WATER HOSTILE TAKEOVER OF CMSD
This advisory measure - which means NOTHING - is passing by fewer than 1,700 votes.
NEWPORT MESA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
All incumbents seem destined to retain their seats in these races
COAST COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT
Incumbents in these races have solid leads on the challengers.
74TH STATE ASSEMBLY DISTRICT
Matt Harper will defeat Karina Onofre.
37TH STATE SENATE DISTRICT
John Moorlach will defeat Ari Grayson.
