Why The "Revised" Agenda For The Planning Commission Meeting?
WHAT IS MISSING?
In my previous entry we addressed the meeting Monday evening of the Costa Mesa Planning Commission and I made a slight reference to the big item on it - the General Plan update and the Draft EIR - as being the "remaining" items on the agenda.
IT WAS ON FACEBOOK, SO IT MUST BE TRUE!
Well, what I meant by that was the agenda had been published earlier and it included another item. However, for some inexplicable reason (tongue in cheek here), it has been rescheduled. That item involves two sober living facilities side-by side - that's against our ordinances - at 165 East Wilson. Read the brief summary of the item HERE. It's been rescheduled for the Planning Commission on April 25, 2016. Planning Commission Chairman Rob Dickson posted a vague reference to this on Facebook - apparently the official city record of proceedings in our town these days.
WHY, WE ASK?
So, what caused this rescheduling? Did it have anything at all to do with the settlement of the lawsuit between the City and Solid Landings last week? I read the brief summary and wonder how the heck this thing is being considered in the first place?
MARKING TIME, WAITING FOR THIS ONE
So, we'll wait two more weeks to see if the Planning Commission will approve the request to violate our ordinances... or not.

TBON might know why the change in dates. They sent out the email about the change even before the original agenda was up on the city website, let alone the revised agenda.
Must be exciting for the paralegal to have the Chair of the planning Ham and Egg boys ...One would think that 21 years is a long time to be involved in the law, and never make it to the big leagues, not even an associate, just an overpaid gofer paralegal, probably having his time billed out at some ridiculous rate to the client. I can't remember who sets the agenda for the wee ones at the Ham and Egg Club, probably someone who has to take off a shoe to get past ten, and has a handler that has trouble counting after both shoes are off....
Dickson claims that he doesn't take orders from the party bosses. If true, then why can we see Riggy's lips moving when any of these five sycophants talk?
Mr. Nern,
Colon McCarthy er sorry...my apologies..erm..Charlie McCarthy..no that's a puppet...erm I'm getting too old to remember but some McCarthy, I think it was Block Captain McCarthy...Wait I remember writing this here in September 2013 after a joint meeting of the planning boys and the council at City Hall.....This is just a snippet of what I thought then..
~~~>It was pathetic…Block Captain McCarthy, thought it was a good idea to make sure that it was written in the CCR’s or Maintenance Agreement of the new prison cells to be built, that annually, one must open their cell garage door to the McCarthy Precinct Captain, along with the Commander of the Thought Police accompanying him, and make sure you did not have anything in there that he would not approve of…
You know…Junk...Crap…A bed…A pool table…Your parents memento boxes…A stereo….A television…Your children….An American car…
Although a shredder for the Constitution is allowed….
A peephole looking in to your cell will be required, so Block Captain McCarthy could see if you were violating the physical relations statute…No consensual pleasure…Only one procreative act per annum…
So long as your foreign car is in there, and your foreign motorcycle, a copy of 1984 and
Animal Farm by George Orwell prominently on display, next to your Block Captain McCarthy and Stalin posters, all is well….<~~~
