Good stuff. Happy for our City. We finally have a Mayor who gets it and promotes Costa Mesa whenever he can. Mr. Righeimer certainly is building a lot of fans in this City.
Apparently, with this great news, I am compelled to write. Great job Mr. Mayor. Anyone who attacks you for this from OC4OE will be shamed. Still, can't wait for their spin.
I thought Riggy's followers said they made a bundle at the dinner? $21,000? Thats it? Or did he send half of it to his buddy, Scott?
When did multiple online personality disorders constitute a lot of fans?
How many diet cokes were sold and what was the going rate? I bet everybody remembered to keep their receipts.
Phil Lesh- exactly!
Bout time......City of the Arts donates 10 K per school. It's a lot less than the 94k for sports fields but , trust me we'll take it. beggars can' t be choosers.
Sadly, I saw today Estancia Drama is FIFTH on NMUSD priorities for a proper theatre. It was in today's Daily Pilot article..Funny thing is ...Estancia Drama is the strongest drama program in the entire district. Performed CETA center stage this year and swept the top honors. Sometimes greatness doesn't come from government grants.
........but thanks for the money , it will buy a couple of mics..
Let's see: the Mayor puts on a great event, two great men are honored, and the event nets 31K. Time to start some trouble apparently
I am glad that Estancia and Mesa will get donations for their Art Programs. Art,music and drama are subjects that are considered expendable when budgets are tightened and cuts are made.
It's good to see money going into these programs.
We are The City of the Arts.
Mayor raised more than Geri in the cult did
Does he ever do anything but complain?
riggy and mensinger do a lot for the kids. thank you.
Just out of curiosity, what do the rest of the 85% of the city children get as a benefit from this money? Only a very small minority of the boys play football. What about the rest of them? What about the girls? It sure seems that an unproportionate amount of money is funneled through to Steve's pet (football & baseball) projects, and to hell with the rest of the kids.
