to stop Costa Mesa’s exploration of outsourcing
to stop Costa Mesa’s exploration of outsourcing
COSTA MESA, CALIF.—Orange County Superior Court Judge Tam Nomoto Schumann today denied a request by the Costa Mesa City Employees’ Assn. for a temporary restraining order to halt the City’s exploration of outsourcing many of its services.
The court also scheduled a hearing on July 5 at 3 p.m. to hear the association’s motion for a preliminary injunction to stop the City’s outsourcing process.

TRO Denial: No big.
Generally, if there's no irreparable harm, courts say there's no need for a TRO. Pretty standard. 7/5/11 is only a few weeks away, and preliminary injunctions are much easier to get.
How efficient of our highly paid Lobdell to get the word out so fast..
Lobdell may be well paid but at least when his job is complete, we won't have to support him for the next 20+ years.
Fail! You had to see this verdict comming... But, it won't stop the greg ridges of the world from trying anyway.
No GrowUp....obviously his 3K a week will provide him with more than enough to put away for his own retirement. Not like the bulk of the city employees making 1K a week. Do the math, and not Righeimer math either.
Spin Billy, spin.
this is no big deal you righeimer fans so quit gloating. we throw as much crap against the wall (form 700 violations, brown act violations, emotional distress lawsuit threats, tpr's, etc.) as we can and somethings gonna stick so watch out. We still have a long list to try and lots of money to do it with. Sandy may be 0 for 73 and we may lose the brown act suit, and we may have lost this but everyone still agrees with US ! Losers ! and why did lobdell get the word out so fast?? why is he doing his job? something fishy here.
Keep your fingers crossed.
Lets see what the judge does.
