And It's Still Burning...


STATION FIRE STILL GOING, AND GOING, AND...
A tip of the hat to Kevin Roderick over at LAObserved Blog for this photograph via NASA of the burned territory covered by the Station fire on Sunday, when the photo was captured. Astounding! The red and brown shows unburned vegetation. The fire, which was reportedly started by an arsonist and has claimed two lives, has burned more than 160,000 acres and is still burning. The last report I heard had it at around 60% contained.

A NEW ARGYROS JOINS THE FAMILY...
Please join me in welcoming into our world our new friend, George L. Argyros, III. The newest member of the Argyros tribe was born today at 11:37 a.m. at Hoag Hospital, weighed 7lb 70z, was 19 inches long. According to his proud papa, George II, both little Georgie and his mom, Shannon, are doing well.
