Fields of Screams

Just a reminder, today the Costa Mesa Parks and Recreation Commission will meet in a Study Session to discuss proposed changes in the Field Use and Allocation Policy. The meeting will be held at City Hall, in Conference Room 1A at 5:30 p.m.

Since this has been a very contentious issue over the past few years, pitting AYSO against Pop Warner Football and neighbor against neighbor on the lighting of fields, I recommend that any interested party attend to get a feel for the way the city is planning to go on this subject. No votes will be made in this meeting - it's a study session - but the whole subject should be pretty thoroughly fleshed out in anticipation of the next public hearing on the subject, probably at their meeting on the 27th.
