Special City Council Meeting Tuesday Night

SPECIAL MEETING AT A NEW TIME
The Costa Mesa City Council has called a Special Meeting, HERE, of that body beginning later than usual - 7:00 p.m. - on Tuesday, June 14, 2016.
GENERAL PLAN AND EIR
This meeting has only one subject, HERE, the 2015-2035 General Plan and Final Environmental Impact Report (EIR).  And, in a curious anomaly, apparently the public will be restricted to making comments ONLY on this issue and ONLY for 2 minutes instead of 3 normally provided.
LOTS OF INFORMATION TO ABSORB
Not only is the staff report a long one, but it includes links to a dozen (12) additional documents for us to consider.
HOPING FOR A FAIR HEARING
Since this is the roadmap for the future of our city well into this century, and since this process has taken three years to this point, one would hope that the members of the public who have actually taken time to participate in this process, attend the meetings and provide input as requested will be given a chance to continue to address these critical documents.  Two minutes seems hardly enough - particularly when you consider that more than 100 individuals turned out for the recent Town Hall which addressed this issue.
 BE THERE OR TUNE IN
So, plan your Tuesday evening to include this event.  If you cannot attend, watch it on Costa Mesa Television or streaming video at the CMTV site.

Pardon my suspicious nature, but I have to wonder what Greedy Stevie and the little dicktator have up their sleeves for this.

Have they had time to fix the plethora of errors in the document? And why do they use the terms "above the 405" and "below the 405." Don't they know north from south?
