Town Hall Tonight - North Costa Mesa
Just a little reminder for you...
ANOTHER PUBLIC SAFETY TOWN HALL
Tonight Councilwoman Wendy Leece will hold the most recent in her series of Public Safety Town Halls. This one, located to reach our neighors in the north part of town - Wimbledon, Greenbrook, Providence Park, etc. - is going to be held at the Calvary Chapel LOGOS building, per the flier below. I've provided a map for you. You approach the LOGOS building from MacArthur, just west of Fairview.
EXCELLENT COMMUNITY OUTREACH
I've attended many of these events over the past several months. Each one provides an excellent community outreach by members of our public safety staff and will also have valuable information about neighborhood preparedness presented by community volunteer organizations. Everyone is welcome, regardless where you live in our city. The event begins at 6:30 and is scheduled to run until 9:00 p.m. See you there...

Does anyone find it interesting that McCarthy always mentions pension spiking?

Name ONE way to spike a pension at the City of Costa Mesa. Can you? Nope. Not overtime...not Checkpoints...not specialties...ZERO. You spew hate and jealousy but no facts. Facts seem to be so inconvenient, don't they.

stop pension spiking! Vote YES on V. End the abuse of pension spiking.
no spiking...First, show us anywhere in Costa Mesa where pension spiking even occurs. Second, show us anywhere in measure V that stops any pension spiking. What is or is not allowed is subject to state law since PERS is a statewide agency. No charter in the world, and certainly not measure V, can run contrary to state law.

Bebe or anyone else, please direct us all to the section of the charter that addresses pensions, unfunded liabilities and pension spiking. I want to see the actual wording wherein that is addressed.
Also, under our current configuration, please show us all how pension spiking is occurring. And while we are at it, please define pension spiking. What is it. How does it occur.

I am very concerned about the abuse of pension spiking. this has happened in Huntington Beach with bad results, needing a pension tax. We must stop the spiking here in CM now. It has reached incredible levels and is a debt our kids and grandkids will have to pay off. Vote YES on Charter. stop the spiking, make it rain just right, limit public comments , and cure your asteroids. Yes on V. stop the spiking and water district takeover of the city. ban chucacabras.
The only "spiking" is when they put extra stupid into Fitzy's and Baby Ethan's beers.
