Leadership Tomorrow Graduation

SOME GOOD NEWS FOR YOU
Before I forget and this information gets lost in all the political morass next week, here's some very positive news for you to consider.

THE FUTURE IS THEIRS...
Next Wednesday Leadership Tomorrow will celebrate the graduation of their class of 2011 with a reception and at the Back Bay Bistro. The keynote speaker will be Newport Beach icon Evelyn Hart. You can read about the event, and Hart's achievements, HERE. You'll find a handy link on that site with which you can make reservations to attend this event.
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC...
This event is open to the public, the price is reasonable and it should be a wonderful evening. Congratulations to all those in the Class of 2011.

Geoff,

You will be excited to know that I was selected "Most Inspiring Leader" by my peers graduatign from last year's Class of 2010.

This is a good program to accelerate knowledge & understanding of Orange County and a good chance to build relationships.

I was in the LT Class of 2001. A big thing I got out of the training was exposure to what was going on outside of my city in agencies both public and private. We learned about elements of the infrastructure ... for example, where our water comes from (way East of here, Diamond Lake, via an overnight trip), what the inside of County jail looks like (and were graciously allowed to leave), schools public and private, a facility for Alzheimer's patients, ballet backstage, on and on ... An incredible variety of experiences that beefed up my understanding of how our society works.

At each monthly weekend of meetings, we had leaders from the agencies tell us about what they do and how they do it. A sample: CM City Manager Allan Roeder spoke, as did then NB Public Works director and future councilman Don Webb.

The nine-months of training and the class project helped me in my campaign the next year for school board.

Jimm Fitzy is right, it's a good program. It got me out of being limited to parochial concerns and solutions.
